Hello beautiful,

I’m so happy that you are joining me here today to hear about the 3 Changes You Can Make Right Now For A Healthier Happier You.

There’s so much noise and so much information out there now in our digital atmosphere, that there can be a feeling of being completely stuck and not knowing what to do.

I know I can feel like that at times anyway.

I’m here to tell you that it can actually be really simple if you just allow the idea of it being “simple” to sit with you for a little while.

At IntoFitness, I talk a lot about Healthy Happy with my clients.

Healthy Happy Women  are not concerned with being ripped, getting shredded, smashing our bodies with gruelling workouts, depriving ourselves from food, making ourselves feel guilty, or going without the things we love and that make us feel good.

Healthy Happy Women build healthy habits that help them to feel energised, less stressed, more confiden, that lead us to make healthier choices, to take the actions that our body wants us to take and to fill our lives with the things that make us feel good and shine brightly.

It’s taken me a lot of years and a lot of personal exploration, testing, learning, education and ongoing personal development to get to this Healthy Happy place myself… and I’d say I’m still a Work In Progress who will always be keen to learn more.

And as someone who wants to create impact in the lives of others and leave my own footprint on the world around me, it’s important for me to share the things that I have learnt with you 💜

Moving towards Healthy Happy doesn’t have to be hard.

It doesn’t have to be stressful.  In fact, it should feel good.

That’s the whole point!

And so with that said, here are my Top 3 Changes You Can Make Right Now For A Healthier Happier You?

Number 1: Become your best friend.

Yes, that’s right. That’s the number 1 best thing that you can do for yourself right now.  Because when we become our own best friend, everything else will start to fall into place and follow.

Stop with the negative self talk, the negative and nasty mind chatter and back chat that goes on within your own brain.

Stop with the I’m not good enough.  I suck at this.  I will never be as good as that person.  I can’t do this.

Start looking at your situation like you would with a friend that comes to you with it as their situation.

What would you say to them?

How would you support them through this?

What strategies could you offer?

How would you support them to follow through with those actions?

Number 2: Get more sleep.

When we don’t have enough sleep, our body and our mind is not given the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate from all of the things that we ask it to do for us day in and day out.

Now I know in different times of our life a lack of sleep is going to come with the territory.  Having young children for one.  Working shift work for another.  Stressful life events.  Meeting a major deadline.

But when we don’t have enough sleep on a continued and chronic basis it has a very detrimental effect on our Healthy Happy.

Enter the Grouch!

You feel like a walking zombie and are ready to bite everyone’s head off and feed off it!  Ok maybe that’s too graphic but you know what I mean if you have experienced sleep deprivation.

We are NOT our true selves. It impacts our mood, our cognitive function (hello Dopey), our appetite (hello Hangry) , our immune function (hello Dr )  and if prolonged and chronic, it can leads to longer term health problems such as increased risk of diabetes and obesity related conditions.

  • Control what you can by establishing good sleep routines for you AND your children.
  • Set boundaries for you and your children.
  • A non negotiable bed time routine.
  • Turn off technology at least 1-2 hours before bed.
  • Do something that makes you feel relaxed and ready for sleep, be that reading a book, taking a warm shower, drinking a chamomile tor valerian tea, doing some breathing / meditation exercises, listening to relaxation music….. or all of the above!
Number 3: Organise Your Life

Ok so this is a big one!

To become Healthy Happy you firstly need to know what that means to you.

How will you know if you have reached your ultimate Healthy Happy if you don’t know what that looks like.

So what does Healthy Happy look like and feel like to you?

Why do you want to feel that way?

How will it improve your life right now?

What would your perfect Healthy Happy Day look like?

What are you doing?  How does it make you feel?

Now that you know the end game and what it looks like for you, it’s time to work backwards to figure out how to get there.

So often we focus in so much on the end game that we don’t zone in on the little steps we need to take each day to get there.

What are the Big Things you need to do to arrive at your Healthy Happy destination?

Now break these down into smaller things?

Do you need to eat better food?

Do you need to drink more water?

Do you need to move more?

Do you need to say No more often?

Do you need to practice more Self Care and Self Love?

Do you need to say Yes more to the things that light you up?

Do you even know what lights you up any more?

Do you need to detox your relationships?

Do you need to welcome in better quality conversations and connections?

Do you need a different job, or to go and get a job?

Do you need to step up more in your life?

Do you need to relax more?

Do you need to take more holidays and enjoy more experiences?

Do you need to read more, to write, to be creative?

How do you need to express yourself to become Healthy Happy.

It’s not without challenges, but it’s absolutely worth starting somewhere so that you can move closer to where you want to be and it all begins with you deciding.

I hope you enjoyed walking this journey with me today and if you would like more personalised support from me, just reach out to me here https://intofitness.com.au/contact/
