Owner / Head Trainer
Hi, I’m Amanda.
I’m a mother of 2 boys, married to the POM I met and fell in love with while traveling the UK in 2000, and I’m also the very proud creator of IntoFitness, which is basically my 3rd child.
I haven’t always been in the fitness industry but you could say I was called to it and through the culmination of education and different careers, it led me to what has been by far the most rewarding and enriching experiences yet!
– a Bachelor Degree in Nursing,
– Customer Service
– Sales & Marketing
– HR Administration and Recruitment.
Whilst I was on maternity leave in 2009 and with a reluctance to return to my State Government job in the city, I knew it was time to reinvent myself again.
I took a leap of faith and went in pursuit of a career change that not only ignites my passion, but importantly, allows me to create a positive impact and help change the lives of others.
So with a baby at home and a pre-schooler at kindy, I began studying Certificate III and then Certificate IV in Fitness.
I graduated in early 2013 and launched my biz in July. Who on earth starts a fitness business in Winter? Yep, that’s what I did and not only did the business survive, but it has thrived.
I can tell you it hasn’t been easy and I’ve had my share of many challenges along the way. But through all of the challenges, it’s been without question the most rewarding career and with each obstacle I have overcome, I have grown in confidence and success.
What do I love about this role and purpose?
I love that I get to inspire women to take that first step, and then another, and another, until one day they look back and can’t believe how far they have come!
I love that I get to empower women to change their life in a positive way and to achieve goals they never thought were possible for them.
I love that I get to help women step outside of their comfort zone and realise they can do this too, regardless of their age or fitness level.
I love that I get to create a place of support, acceptance, encouragement and fun that our ladies want to be around.
I love that I get to provide a space where women make connections with others, see reflections of themselves and also who they want to be and make lifelong friends they can count on.
Some people think it’s just exercise, but those who are part of our community know that it’s so much more than that.
Health & fitness is my passion and I’d love to ignite that passion in you.
Come and join us!
I promise you the only thing you’ll regret is not starting sooner.
Group Trainer & Personal Trainer
Hi! I’m Jacoba.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, but first here is a little bit about myself and my journey here with IntoFitness…
When I became a mum my priorities naturally shifted away from myself. I found myself increasingly less energetic than I was previously used to and it was in this weakened state that spurred me on to take action, to make a change, not only for myself, but for my young family. After one change, another followed, then another and so on. I pride myself on being an example of making a change to better your health.
My passion is for motivating others to step up, take their own action and create change for themselves. I’ve learnt that exercise and fitness go hand in hand and I love to empower people to get up, gear up and get moving.
When I met Amanda I was instantly drawn to her energy. After attending a wide variety of her Group Fitness classes and following her to Zumba she saw something in me that lit a spark that ignited a flame. It all started with a phone call and a question… ‘Had I ever considered being a fitness instructor?’
Our friendship blossomed and the rest, as they say, is history. I am now a certified Group Fitness Instructor with plans to continue my studies to become a certified Personal Trainer.
I enjoy motivating clients to achieve things they first thought impossible. I thrive on the mental challenge that comes with exercise and pushing the boundaries of people’s preconceived notions of their own abilities. I embrace learning and sharing what I’ve learnt with others. I embody the empowerment that comes from developing the resistance to excuses and choosing to show up for yourself!
My favourite quote is ‘Happiness is a journey not a destination’ (Souza)
Happy training and I look forward to seeing you at a session soon.
Lead Group Trainer & Personal Trainer
Hi! I’m Natalia
I have been working in fitness industry since 2017, starting at a major gym chain as Assistant Manager. Since then I have successfully completed Cert III & IV in Fitness and then a Bachelor Degree in Sports Science.
My passion is helping all women learn how to have a healthy relationship with exercise and their body.
I like to make sure my clients are enjoying themselves when doing a class, or one on one, and help them see exercise as an “I get too” not an “I have too”.
I have loved sport and exercise from a young age – specifically playing and watching soccer and AFL.
I am a Collingwood fan, but please don’t hold that against me!
I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you next year, and I hope I can help you along your fitness journey.
