Hi, I’m Amanda.
I’m a mother of two boys, married to my dear husband who I met in England in the year 2000 and I’m the very proud founder of IntoFitness.
My life is very full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I haven’t always been in the fitness industry but you could say I was called to it through the culmination of education and careers leading up to now:
– a Bachelor Degree in Nursing,
– Customer Service roles
– Sales & Marketing roles
– HR Administration and Recruitment.
Whilst I was on maternity leave with my second child in 2009, with a reluctance to return to a State Government role in the city, I knew it was time to reinvent myself again. So I took a leap of faith and went in pursuit of a career change that not only ignites my passion, but importantly would allow me to create impact in the lives of others.
So with a baby at home and a pre-schooler at kindy, I began studying Certificate III and then Certificate IV in Fitness.
I graduated in early 2013 and launched my biz in July. Who on earth starts a fitness business in Winter? Yep, that’s what I did and not only did the business survive, but it has thrived.
I can tell you it hasn’t been easy, nor has it been without some major challenges along the way. It’s been a steep learning curve in honing my craft as a Personal Trainer, together with learning the ropes of a Small Business Owner.
Through all of the challenges, it’s been by far the most rewarding career I have ever done and with each obstacle I have overcome, with each hurdle I have jumped over, I have grown in confidence and success.
I love going to work every day.
I love that I get to empower women to change their life in a positive way.
I love that I get to be part of women achieving goals they never thought were possible for them.
I love that I get to create a space of support, acceptance, encouragement and fun that our ladies want to be around.
I love that I get to help women step outside of their comfort zone and realise their true potential.

Favourite Food: I really enjoy eating healthy, fresh, tasty foood. My favs include Thai & Vietnamese cuisine and I can’t go past some fresh, local seafood washed down with a chilled glass of pinot grigio.
Favourite indulgence: Dark Chocolate, a full bodied red wine, massages, reflexology and Pyjama Days.
Favourite style of training: HIIT, Boxing, Heavy Weights, Metabolic Circuits and Yoga…. oh and I love Dance Fitness, Hiking and walks on the beach. This girl loves to move!

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Jacoba and I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, but first here is a little bit about myself and my journey here with IntoFitness…
When I became a mum my priorities naturally shifted away from myself. I found myself increasingly less energetic than I was previously used to and it was in this weakened state that spurred me on to take action, to make a change, not only for myself, but for my young family. After one change, another followed, then another and so on. I pride myself on being an example of making a change to better your health.
My passion is for motivating others to step up, take their own action and create change for themselves. I’ve learnt that exercise and fitness go hand in hand and I love to empower people to get up, gear up and get moving. 🙌🏼
When I met Amanda I was instantly drawn to her energy. After attending a wide variety of her Group Fitness classes and following her to Zumba she saw something in me that lit a spark ⚡️ that ignited a flame 🔥 It all started with a phone call and a question… ‘Had I ever considered being a fitness instructor?’
Our friendship blossomed and the rest, as they say, is history. I am now a certified Group Fitness Instructor with plans to continue my studies to become a certified Personal Trainer.
I enjoy motivating clients to achieve things they first thought impossible. I thrive on the mental challenge that comes with exercise and pushing the boundaries of people’s preconceived notions of their own abilities. I embrace learning and sharing what I’ve learnt with others. I embody the empowerment that comes from developing the resistance to excuses and choosing to show up for yourself!

Favourite Holiday Experience: Every Easter 🐣 School Holidays my husband and I take our two sons to our favourite destination, Mooloolaba. We love the simplicity of this escape and work really hard all year long to reward ourselves with it.

Favourite style of training: I really get a kick out of HIIT. Let’s be honest I really LOVE it and I’m not ashamed to say it 😅🤪 Sprint Cycle, Shuttle Drills, Metafit. Anything that gets my energy soaring 🙌🏼
