Have you found yourself stuck in the cycle of
‘I’ll start again on Monday?’
You start out the week determined and full of positive intentions, only to find by Wednesday afternoon you’re struggling to stick with what you said you would do?
Are you stuck in a cycle of All or Nothing? Of going hard to throwing in the towel.
Do you eat well for most of the week and exercise only to get to Friday and completely lose the plot!
Do you tell yourself ‘You’ve been good so you can have that bottle of wine / the large serving of dessert / the cheese platter thats big enough to feed your entire street!
How does this affect your outcomes and results?
How does this impact on your mindset?
Would you say this behaviour is helping you? Or is it hindering you?
What if you just hooked in to the behaviours that serve you?
Imagine the positive outcomes if you focused more on the actions that care for you and help you to get where you want to, instead of avoiding the ones that don’t.
If you know that eating a good breakfast and having healthy snacks on hand helps to keep your appetite under control throughout the day, then get organised and do more of this. Make this your habit to have a good breakfast every day without question. Make it your habit to have healthy snacks without question.
Make these things non-negotiable.
If you know that having junk food and treats in your house is an unavoidable temptation then don’t have them there. Get rid of them!
If you know that having a case of beer or bottles of wine in the house will trigger your desire to drink every night, then remove the trigger and change your nighttime routine.
If you know that hitting the snooze button will result in missing your workout, then move your alarm so you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Remove the limiting behaviours and excuses and focus on the doing more of the things that take care of you and make you feel good.
Think about all of the ways that you self sabotage.
Write them down and really take a good look at all of the things you do right now to stand in your own way.
Now imagine the possibilities for you if you focused on doing more of the things that make you feel good. Think about how you can build more of these things into your day, every day.
And then if you fall off the healthy train, like we all do from time to time, the fall isn’t so hard. Just get back on board doing the things that take care of you and make you feel good….but don’t wait until Monday.
Catch yourself in the behaviour and reset straight away.
There’s no time like now!
If you need help to get on track and stay on track, we’ve got the right pathway for you.
